Ekko Solutions is a New Zealand company, based on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast in Auckland, New Zealand. Owner, Chantal, her husband Gary and their 4 children moved here from South Africa, 13 Years ago. Looking for a better quality of life for their young family, they were attracted to New Zealand’s CLEAN GREEN image as they have always been environmental enthusiasts. To contribute to this image and play their part in the environment, Chantal’s long-term vision is to help entrench that CLEAN GREEN, image by becoming a supplier of choice for New Zealand companies wishing to align themselves with a plastic free Aotearoa .

Ekko Solutions provides a tailored, customised service to find the right solution for each customer. We work together with our customers, to find the most appropriate design and style of bag, to suit specific requirements. We can provide graphic design services, including logos and other marketing marketing materials, if required. Ekko solutions oversees the production of the bags, from design through to delivery.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our products, using the best materials from our trusted manufacturers. We have a long-standing relationship of over 11 years with our suppliers. To ensure the products we sell in New Zealand are sustainably and ethically produced, we have personally visited the factory in India. This factory has the following internationally recognised certifications:

 

  • Fair Trade – Fair trade certification is a product certification system where social, economic and environmental aspects of production are certified against Fair Trade Standards for producers and traders. The Fair Trade system monitors the buying and the selling of the product until it is consumer packaged and labelled.

     

  • GOTS – The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) has a transparent, clearly defined set of criteria. GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

     

  • GRS The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary, full-product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, a chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.

     

  • SA8000 The Human Rights SA 8000 is an international certification standard that encourages organizations to develop, maintain and apply socially acceptable practices in the workplace.

     

  • SMETA– The Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit report audits labour standards, health & safety, environment and business ethics.
